Clutton Online History Project
This is a community-based initiative set up to share as many of Clutton’s historical resources as possible and to put them on display in one comprehensive online archive. It includes a wealth of photos, documents, personal stories and historical records from our village area.
We are grateful for financial assistance from the Chelwood Community Fund.
The web archive was launched in Autumn 2025 and you can visit it here: www.cluttonhistoryarchive.org.uk or just search for ‘Clutton History Archive’.

An Ongoing Project
Although centred on Clutton, the archive also includes some material from neighbouring villages, reflecting our close ties with surrounding areas. And it continues to grow at www.cluttonhistoryarchive.org.uk
We’re still collecting photos, documents, and personal stories. So, if you have material tucked away in an attic or family album, we’d love to add it to the collection.
All photographs and documents loaned to us will be scanned, then returned to their owners and added to the website.
To get in touch, please email Grahame Lacey: glacey321@btinternet.com or Chris Border (History Group): chris.border@live.co.uk
A Living History
Whether you’re a current resident, a former villager, a pupil working on a project, or a researcher tracing family roots, the Clutton History Archive offers a unique window into the past.
